[PT] Itaguaçu da Bahia é um município do estado da Bahia, localizado na região nordeste do Brasil. "Itaguaçu" é um termo de origem tupi que significa "pedra grande", junção de itá (pedra) e gûasu (grande) em 1989 foi elevado a categoria de município.

A proposta deste projeto foi criar o primeiro brasão de armas da história de Itaguaçu e arquitetar sua nova bandeira, algo moderno sem abrir mão da estrutura clássica, sendo duradouro, já que símbolos oficiais como este permanecem por séculos em uso; Por fim algo que fizesse sentido e representasse o município em seu passado, presente e futuro.

[EN] Itaguaçu da Bahia is a municipality in the state of Bahia, located in the northeast region of Brazil. "Itaguaçu" is a term of Tupi origin that means "big stone", the junction of itá (stone) and gûasu (large) in 1989 was elevated to the category of municipality.

The purpose of this project was to create the first coat of arms in the history of Itaguaçu and design its new flag, something modern without giving up the classic structure, being durable, since official symbols such as this one remain in use for centuries; Finally, something that made sense and represented the municipality in its past, present and future.
